Digital Pedagogy - Built on Continuity & Change

The willingness to participate, share, and redevelop are vital aspects of Digital Pedagogy's ethos. In the spirit of the collaborative and participatory nature of the Internet and Web 2.0, this page offers a shared touchstone for integrating digital pedagogy into our courses.

SHARE - ASSIGNMENT REMIX

A great aspect of integrating new tools or platforms into your course is getting the opportunity to REMIX old assignments. If digital pedagogy and teaching with technology involves both continuity and change, then remixing or radically revising your assignments is the next, natural step.

Remixing is an opportunity - not a burden.

Try Something New. Take Risks. Tech to Transgress.

To generate some new ideas and to engage with a (perhaps) new digital tool, please add to your cohort's Padlet Board. To create a post, click anywhere on the board or use the (+) button. Feel free to add images, hyperlinks, or documents if you'd like.

SHARE - TEACHING THOUGHTFULLY WITH TECHNOLOGY

As discussed on the Tech In Use page, it's important to thoughtfully consider what digital tools you plan on using for your course and why you are choosing them. First, consider what your learning objectives are and what your students need, and then decide what platforms will best address them.

Investigating new technologies sometimes seems like an impossible task because there are SO MANY EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES and they CHANGE ALL THE TIME.

To share in the never ending work of investigating digital tools for teaching, please add to the 2020/2021 WWW Teaching with Technology Breakdown Google Sheet. For each technology or platform you add, please include a general description (less than 100 words), potential uses for assignments or class activities, affordances of the tool (what it lets you do/benefits), limitations of the tool (what it restricts you from doing/drawbacks), and additional comments (logon information, url, reminders, etc.)
