"Re-examine all that you
have been told, dismiss that
which insults your soul."
Here in UWRT 1101, we will spend our time thinking, talking, and writing about writing as well as discovering our writerly identity in the academic world.
Through individual assignments as well as cooperative work, we will explore what it means to write about writing and what it means to be a writer.
"And what you ask, does writing teach us?
First and foremost, it reminds us that we are alive and that it is a gift and a privilege, not a right."
"If you want to be a writer, you have to do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot."
